Terms of Service

The short version

Use PingBase to monitor your own URLs. Pay if you're on a paid plan. Don't abuse the service. We'll try hard to keep it running, but we can't make guarantees. If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid us.

1. What PingBase is

PingBase is an uptime monitoring service. We periodically send HTTP requests to URLs you specify and record the results. We send you alerts when a URL stops responding, and we give you a public status page to share with your users.

By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use PingBase.

2. Your account

• →You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Don't share your account with others.
• →You must provide a valid email address. We use it to send alerts and important account notices.
• →You must be at least 16 years old to use PingBase.
• →One person or organisation per account. You can't resell access to PingBase unless we've agreed to that in writing.

3. Payment and subscriptions

• →Free plan: No payment required. You get 1 monitor, 5-minute checks, and 1 public status page for as long as you want.
• →Paid plans: Billed monthly in advance. Your card is charged on the same date each month.
• →Cancellation: Cancel any time from your dashboard. You keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time — except as described below.
• →30-day money-back guarantee: If you're not satisfied within 30 days of your first paid charge, email us at hello@pingba.se and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked.
• →Price changes: We'll give you at least 30 days notice before raising prices on your existing plan.
• →Failed payments: If a payment fails, we'll notify you and give you 7 days to update your payment method before your account is downgraded to the free plan.

4. Acceptable use

You may use PingBase to monitor URLs that you own or have permission to monitor. You may not use PingBase to:

• ✗Monitor URLs without authorisation from the site owner
• ✗Conduct denial-of-service attacks or stress tests against any site
• ✗Scrape content from the URLs you monitor
• ✗Violate any law or regulation
• ✗Attempt to gain unauthorised access to PingBase's systems or other users' accounts
• ✗Resell or redistribute access to PingBase without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms without notice.

5. Service availability

We work hard to keep PingBase running reliably, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Ironically, we are ourselves subject to the same infrastructure failures we help you detect.

We don't offer an uptime SLA. If reliability guarantees are critical for your use case, please contact us to discuss options.

We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice where possible. We'll post updates at our own status page.

6. Your data and content

You own your data. The URLs you monitor, your check results, and your status page configuration belong to you.

By using PingBase, you grant us a limited licence to store and process this data solely to provide the service. We don't claim any other rights over your data.

You're responsible for ensuring that monitoring the URLs you add doesn't violate any third party's rights or terms of service.

7. Termination

• →By you: Delete your account any time from dashboard settings. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
• →By us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. We may also discontinue PingBase entirely with 30 days notice, in which case we'll refund any prepaid subscription time.

8. Limitation of liability

PingBase is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• →We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of PingBase.
• →We are not liable for losses caused by missed alerts, monitoring failures, or service downtime.
• →Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

We know that's not what anyone wants to read, but it's standard for infrastructure services and lets us keep prices low.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of PingBase after that date means you accept the updated terms.

If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel your account before the new terms take effect and receive a prorated refund of any prepaid subscription time.
